Philanthropists of the Year: Helene and Stephen Weicholz

m2e client and board member of 1000 Ocean, Stephen Weicholz, along with his wife, Helene, were presented with the honorable award “Philanthropists of the Year” by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Ft.Lauderdale/Broward chapter.  Their generous contribution of $1 million to the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will be applied towards the hospital’s heart transplant program for children.   The Weicholz have also given a $1 million donation to build the Children’s Ability Center of JAFCO (Jewish Adoption & Family Care Options)  and another $1 million gift to the Children’s Village campus.
