The Perils of Not Hiring a Good Engineering Firm

Condominium owners of a Palm Beach Garden community are suing builder Kolter Homes LLC for allegedly refusing to fix millions of dollars worth of construction defects at their development.
The Palm Beach garden board, San Matera The Gardens Condominium Association, has been fighting Kolter for years over what they say is just downright bad construction quality and report that their homeowners are furious to see Kolter selling new developments while disregarding their eminent construction problems.
The homeowner association filed a $42 million construction defect suit in Palm Beach Circuit Court against a Kolter affiliate, dispute dating back to 2010 with still no resolution.
Hiring the right engineering firm would have made all the difference, avoiding lawsuits against the developer and protracted unresolved litigation for the association, and most importantly, disappointed and disquieted homeowners.
