Rental Housing Affordability Crisis Was Years in the Making

According to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Research Institute for Housing America, it seems to be that high levels of new construction may be the answer to the Rental crisis, which was forged years ago, dating back to the Great Recession. Although the supply is still trying to catch up with the demand, continued increases in construction since 2012 have begun to ease the rental crisis slightly. The root of the problem to rising rent is that many more renters have been added than was expected of trends in 2006.
