Companies to Watch was developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation, an initiative leveraging entrepreneurship as a strategy for economic growth and community development. This unique recognition is geared towards developing the kind of culture second-stagers need to continue flourishing.

This year, GrowFL received over 400 nominations for the award. A panel of independent judges comprised of past honorees, economic development leaders and corporate partners of GrowFL judged companies based on a number of criteria including:

• Current and past financial reports
• Innovativeness of the product or service
• Response to adversity
• and contributions to aid community-oriented projects
