m2e client, Related Group, Rockpoint seek to invest $2B in commercial real estate

The Related Group and Rockpoint Group have formed a partnership that seeks to acquire $2 billion in a commercial real estate, primarily apartments, over the next few years.

Miami-based Related Group is South Florida’s largest condo developer. It has expanded other business lines in recent years, also building apartments, mixed-use projects, and affordable housing. However, it has rarely invested in existing commercial properties unless it saw them as redevelopment opportunities.
