‘Never lose your passion’
Anna MacDiarmid has spent nearly 30 years climbing the ladder at Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ signature W brands. The hospitality bug bit her at her first job as a server and dishwasher for banquets in her hometown of Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada.

What makes a good leader? I think someone who’s both fair and firm. You want to know that you have someone at the helm who supports you, is there for you, takes ownership of their responsibilities, stays humble and can apologize when appropriate.
