Developers use new ways to avoid court

Developers and their partners are discovering ways to resolve disputes before litigation to alleviate court costs.  Steven Lesser, the new chair of the American Bar Association’s forum on construction law, acknowledges this as an important aspect in new case law.
Most construction cases are being resolved with private mediation as opposed to being tried. Owners are now hiring professionals instead of subcontractors to eliminate the middleman. These are just a few options to avoid having to face a judge. Click here for the full article.
